Alright, so Charlee is now past both her due date and her 1 week birthday. It has gone by so fast! We are adjusting to life on a repeating 3 hour schedule and getting better at planning in advance to get ready for even the smallest thing. The most important has been to start getting ready for bed early, because otherwise you lose valuable time when you could be sleeping. Also, we have been trying to feed and change diapers in the time before we are expecting someone so that Charlee can be as cheery as can be. She has been so good and we just couldn't love her any more.
I guess it is time for some more pictures. One note though before I get going is that I didn't take pictures during a couple visits on accident, so I will have to get some next time you come. I think these are Jessica, Sarah, Brad, and Aunt Joan. Also, we don't have a lot of pictures of Ray, Theresa, and Brady on here. They are here quite often so sometimes we forget to "capture the moment" with a picture.
Here we go:
Grammie and Poppa braved the Friday night traffic to come for a visit and a dinner.
Proud Grammie holding her grandaughter Charlee.
Becka pointed out in her blog the size of the pacifier to Charlee's head. Ha!
Dave was a natural holding Charlee. He and Beth also brought a nice care package, including a beer for Dad!
Beth holding Charlee in the nursery.
Ashton and Molly posing with Charlee girl.
As Charlee was waking up, I warned Molly what often comes after a nap. Sure enough, like clockwork, Charlee... you know... "eliminated", and it was forceful enough that it caused Molly to jump and rest of us to have a good laugh...
Casey and Becka, the beautiful Mom's, along with Jaclyn and Charlee.
John and me posing with our baby girls.
Only 6 months apart, but already such a size difference. I am sure it will feel like tomorrow when Charlee is that same size.
Uncle John with Charlee girl.
"Look at me, I just learned to sit up!"
Early beer preference for Jaclyn? At least she has good taste!
The group shot... I would set the timer, and run over to the couch. So all the pics had Jaclyn looking over at me as if to ask, what is this guy doing...
Scooter loving on Charlee... She now follows her around he house, gives her little licks, and (unfortunately) has taken it as her job to bark at anyone coming into the house.
Speedee sneaking in for some cuddles.
Uncle Brady holding Charlee on one of the visits of Gramma, G.R., and Uncle Brady. They have been great about coming to see Charlee every day to "get their fix". Also, Theresa made a bunch of dinners for us to reheat during the week which has helped a bunch.
They also brought over an air conditioner to help us battle the warm streak that has been around lately. Charlee has appreciated it (and so have we!) Now I just need to take some pictures of them over here to get them on the blog!
Charlee in one of her outfits...
Casey and Charlee hanging out during Charlee's tummy time. Special thanks to the giraffe for censoring. :-)
Casey, Rory, Shawnee, and Charlee at a BBQ at the Gertz house on Sunday night. All of the cousins were asking a bunch of questions and loved meeting her. They were all so sweet and gentle!
Casey, Aunt Cindy, Charlee, and Truman. I put this one in because I was reminded so much of my look at that age. I had the same blonde bowl cut and blue eyes, although there is no way I could have been as cute as this little guy.
Shawnee checking Charlee out.
Rory and Marco pose for another picture.
Casey using her moby wrap for the first time as we took a little walk over to see G.R. and Gramma. It worked pretty well. Now it will be added to the stroller pack for times (like last night on the walk home from the BBQ) that Charlee isn't feeling the stroller.
Thanks to everyone that has come by or had us over... Until next time, CL&C.
