Thursday, October 1st. Time for another update to the blog.

It is funny... I have always had an active mind before going to bed.  Now that I "go to bed" four times a night, I have both been doing a lot of thinking and a lot of sleepwalking.  For the sleepwalking, Casey tells me that every single night since we have brought Charlee home I have been swaddling pillows and rocking anything near me.  Sometimes when I get up to go to the bathroom, I'll say as I walk by, "Case, I set Charlee next to you."  Of course, Charlee is in the cradle next to the bed on her side... Silly me.  As for the thinking, one thing I started to feel thankful for last night at 2AM was how thankful I am that people in our life are, for the most part, very healthy. Between Casey and myself, we only met one grandfather between the two of us.  For Charlee, she has two healthy grandparents on each side that are so full of love, and we are both very thankful for this. She even has two great-grandmothers and great-grandfather to meet. On top of that, there are just so many loving relationships that support her in her first weeks of life, a trend that we fully expect to continue.  For this we are thankful to all of you reading this.  OK, that is all for my sentimental introduction that I feel the need to share prior to pictures...

We have had a bunch of visitors come since the last one so this is a full one.  Enjoy:

First, a couple old ones from Gramma Theresa's camera that I liked...

Here is a good one from when we came back to the house to the 'It's a Girl' sign.  Since Casey was holding Charlee, our new baby, I figured I would hold our old baby, Scooter.

One of the first days with Charlee in her nursery with Scooter.

On to the new ones... Here is Casey and Charlee with her Auntie Erin.   Erin and Brandon were in town from Merced (fresh off their trip to Disneyland as you can tell by the shirt). Charlee also received some souvenirs!

Gramma and G.R. hanging out with Charlee.

A fun "artsy" shot with Scooter on my lap and Charlee in her Cradle Swing.

Charlee after one of her sponge baths. You have to love the hoodies on the towels.

Another one:

Casey celebrating with the fresh Hoegarden keg that we got as her favorite beer for her return to drinking.

Charlee makes 1,000 different faces a day.  Here is a funny one that got captured on camera.

Dad putting the Moby wrap to good use for a walk over to Starbucks to get out of "the cave" for a bit.  We pack it along with the stroller as an alternative for when she is not feeling the stroller.

Mom and Charlee

Gramma and G.R. taking advantage of Charlee's wakefulness. It is always nice when she is awake when people visit.

And nice when she sleeps too... her Dad loves naps, so we are a good combo.

Charlee's first real bath now that her umbilical cord has come all the way out.  She is still learning to like them...

Our baby is getting looooong.

She also loves looking into the mirrors that are on her play mats.

Aunt Mary and Uncle Bill visited and brought Charlee a cute Christmas Outfit and a book. Charlee was happy to meet her Mom's Godmother.

Gramma Gert and Aunt Joan visiting Charlee.  I like how everyone is checking out Charlee in this picture.

A close-up of Great-Gramma Gert smiling at little Charlee. Charlee was very comfy in her arms.

Aunt Joan and Great Gramma Gert brought Charlee some new outfits and Aunt Joan knitted her a very nice blankey  that I have a picture of later.

Four generations of Sullivan.

Dad and Charlee on the rocking chair.  I really like this outfit of Jaclyn's because it has a giraffe and says Daddy's Princess.  Funny how it took having a daughter to find out I am really into giraffes.

Here is the blanket that Aunt Joan knitted for Charlee.

Uncle Craig and Uncle Ian visiting California from London.   The timing of their visit worked out perfectly for them to get to meet Charlee.

Uncle Ian holding her during her wakeful time of the day, looking down lovingly.

Uncle Craig knew me when I was not much older than this!  Charlee was just sleeping away, comfy in Craig's hold.

One more shot of Craig, Ian, Charlee, and me.

More nap shots...

I'll close this out with a shot of the flowers that Craig and Ian brought.

Again, thanks for reading.  With love, C,L,&C
